Preview Images Before You Download

Before downloading an image, open Asset Preview to make sure it works for your project.

Overview

Before downloading an image, open Asset Preview to make sure it works for your project. This is where you confirm composition, quality, destination relevance, and usage rights — so you can publish with confidence in your proposal, brochure, website, or campaign.

What you can do in Asset Preview

From the Preview window, you can:

  • View a larger version of the image and zoom in to check quality and detail.
  • Browse to the previous or next asset without returning to search results.
  • Review images information and metadata, including product name, destination, brand, segment, content type, content setting, copyright, tags and keywords, and file information (when available).
  • Add the image to My Selections or a Collection.
  • Share the asset directly.
  • Download the asset.
  • Mark the asset as a Favorite (if available).

What to check before downloading

Different outputs have different needs:

  • Banners and headers need open space for text overlays.
  • Social posts need strong, eye-catching composition.
  • Brochures and print need high resolution and sharp detail.
  • Proposals and factsheets need images that accurately represent the destination or product.

Along with composition and quality, always confirm the image's usage rights before you publish.

Before downloading

When you click Download, the Media Library may display a Terms & Conditions confirmation:

  • Review the Terms & Conditions.
  • Tick, I agree to the terms & conditions.
  • Click Continue to start downloading.

Note: A more detailed explanation of image usage rights and licensing is covered in Category 5 – Image Usage & Licensing. [Insert screenshot: Terms & Conditions confirmation]

Why preview before downloading?

A few seconds in Asset Preview helps you avoid publishing the wrong image. It lets you check composition and quality, review metadata, compare similar assets side by side, and access download and sharing options all from one place.

Best practices

  • Review the metadata to confirm you've selected the right asset.
  • Download only the images you plan to use.
  • Compare two or three similar assets before deciding — the first result isn't always the strongest.

Marketing Tip: When choosing between similar images, open a few side by side in Preview and picture them in the final layout — a hero banner, a proposal cover, a social tile — before you commit. [Insert screenshot: Asset Preview with metadata panel and action toolbar]
