Share Images with Share Links

Share Links let you send approved images to colleagues, designers, agencies or partners without attaching large files.

Overview

Share Links let you send approved images to colleagues, designers, agencies or partners without attaching large files. You control what recipients can see, whether they can download, and how long the link stays available.

Share selected assets

Sharing individual assets is the quickest way to send a small selection of images.

  • Select one or more assets.
  • Click Share.
  • Choose how you'd like to share them — create a new Share Link or add them to an existing one.

Create a Share Link

A Share Link gives recipients access to your selected assets through a secure web link.

  • Select New Link.
  • Create the link.
  • Copy the generated link and send it to your recipients.

Depending on your permissions, you can set a link name, expiration date, password protection, whether Original download is allowed, whether Crop/Resize/Compress is allowed, whether Download Presets are enabled, whether metadata is displayed, and whether a watermark is applied. Create an Email Share Link

If you already know who you'd like to share with, send the Share Link directly from the Media Library.

  • Select New Email Share Link.
  • Enter one or more recipient email addresses.
  • Add an optional message.
  • Review the sharing settings.
  • Send the invitation.

Recipients receive an email with a secure link to access the shared assets. [Insert screenshot: Email Share Link form]

Add assets to an existing Share Link

If you've already shared a link, you don't need to create another one — add new assets to the existing Share Link or Email Share Link to keep everything in one place.

  • Select Existing Link or Existing Email Share Link.
  • Choose the Share Link you want to update.
  • Add the selected assets.

Choosing your sharing settings

  • Sending a full asset set to your own designer — Recommended setting: Allow Original download, no expiration
  • Sharing a curated selection with a client — Recommended setting: Display metadata, set an expiration date
  • Sending assets to a third-party agency — Recommended setting: Password protection, set an expiration date
  • Quick preview only, no download needed — Recommended setting: Disable download permissions

Before sharing, review these settings to ensure recipients receive the appropriate level of access — the available options depend on your account permissions and your organization's sharing settings. [Insert screenshot: Sharing options panel]

Best practices

  • Use a Share Link instead of email attachments whenever you're sending more than one or two images.
  • Set an expiration date for external or one-off shares; leave links open only for recurring collaborators.
  • Recipients can access shared assets without a Media Library account, but they can't browse the rest of the Library unless they have their own account.

Marketing Tip: When handing assets to a designer or agency, a single Share Link to a Collection is faster and cleaner than a batch of downloaded files — and you can add more images to it later without resending anything.
